Time with Ryan

I stayed home and worked from home up until Austin went to Kindergarten. He had a lot of bonding time with me and we were able to make a lot of memories together.

I went back to work in an office before Ryan started preschool and sometimes I feel like he was cheated out of that special time with me. We have a great relationship and bond, but I felt he got the short end of the stick.

I have been blessed to work from home for the past  months (and until March 2013) and though I am working during the day, Ryan has been able to have some of this special "mommy time." We are able to eat lunch together, play, watch tv shows/movies, get coffee and other quick adventures. I thought I'd share just a few from today:

Lunch
Usually I'll make it for him, but today he decided he wanted to make it himself. Here's how I found him.

Playtime
He has been playing Santa all day..."Ho Ho Ho!!!" Our stockings were filling with die-cast Thomas trains.

Getting into things
Playing with mommy's 10 year-old glasses. I'm not too concerned because if he breaks them I have to get new ones and styles are MUCH cuter today :)

Calling All Angels

My oldest and I are so sad that we won't be watching our home team in the playoffs this year. The Angels fell out of the race for the wild card this week. No World Series for them :(

In better news, my boss gave up some free tickets to the Angels vs. Mariners last week and we watched a great game. I am so glad I was able to go to three games this season. I am considering trying to find people to in on season tickets with me within the next few years. How much fun would that be?

Wild Thing

I left Ryan with my dad while I went to register him for preschool. I came home and was informed that Ryan was playing with his Children's Claritin. It turns out, Ryan ate 3. I called Poison Control right away and they said he was way below a dose they'd be worried about (60.) So, now that I know he's not in any danger and he's been well-educated (again) on eating things, I am enjoying watching him roll around and not be able to sit still. Too bad he's grumpy since he was supposed to be napping when he decided his nose was too "sneezey" and he needed his medicine.

My New Office

I've been working from home 2 days a week for the past month or so. I found out today that I will be working from home full-time, at least until we move into our new office in approximately February 2013. Then I'll be working from home 2-3 days a week.

Here's the current state of my new "office." I think I need to redecorate for the amount of time I will spending here.

Salt Creek Fun

The boys and I have gone to the beach a lot these past few weeks and I have hundreds of pictures. Instead of posting them all now, here are a few that I have edited from out day yesterday at Salt Creek Beach.

This was a few days ago at Aliso Creek Beach...One of my favorite family photos!

The Angels with my angel

I took my oldest to his first Angels baseball game today. we had a blast although they lost :( We had two home runs hit towards us, we sat right behind the bullpen and he even was able to run around the bases after the game. America's favorite pastime is one of my favorite memories growing up and I love sharing it with my boys. I can't wait to do this again!

Trout hit a homerun today! (He's the closer one)
